Dungeons inside Dragons
We have finally reached to this crossroads point again. I feel it has been long enough since we last got to roll the dice so I'm announcing a new D&D campaign. Before people start bitching about the fact that the location is the same as last two times I'd like to remind them, that they have never reached that turning point I've had it in there since the beginning. I actually started crafting the whole story from that speciefic point no-one has ever reached. So Typical.
Although I have been suggested to use 4E D&D, I found that I don't like how shallow the edition is. Not to say that 3.5 is perfect. I'll be using parts from the Toons system and even one or two things from d6. And I won't even start about houserules. I've houseruled the crap out of regular D&D3.5, even so much so that I feel uncomfortable calling it 3.5.
Anyways, I hope that this time the players get off of Kaliope and finally reach Arla. That small but interesting island I've developed in four different waves over the last two years. But I'm quite confident it won't happen, since it's so very hard to find good role-players.
This leads me to the topic of roll-players. In order to discourage that type of gaming, I have instituded a few changes.
Players are restricted to common races: Elves, Humans, Dwarves, Half-Elves, Halflings, Gnomes and Kobolds (don't ask). And characters are required to have a decent backstory, those things aren't so hard to accomplish. Hell you don't even have to remember the rules.
*sigh*
